Our this region is within the western plateau area which is rich in minerals but a deserted area in respect of education and culture. And amidst of a desert our esteemed educational Institution Coalfield College of Education is just like an oasis. No one can ignore it. This C.C.E. was founded on the side of Suri – Raniganj road, (i.e, beside the 60 no. N.H.) in the year of 2014. This location in between the national highway no -60, in the western side and the Indian Rail-way on the eastern side, in the north east corner of Paschim Bardhaman District has given the college the modern transport facility. In the midst of black - diamond mines, this educational Institution has been rightly named as Coalfield College of Education. We the sons of the soil and students are proud of our beloved Institution. The college campus has been established, covering an area of .63 acres of land. The college building consists of adequate numbers of halls and rooms to run a B.Ed college very smoothly and gleefully. The class rooms (Halls) are well – appointed and equipped with Teaching learning materials and adequately airy and lightly one too. The highly qualified faculty and the helpful-minded authority have made an eco-friendly atmosphere fit for proper education. The library is a well stored library. Each and every item related to education, such as excursion, travelling, games and sports, drawing are conducted and celebrations of national red letter days are observed with reverence.
